Poison centre notification in Hungary
Verified against ECHA’s member state overview ·
Hungary accepts PCN dossiers through the ECHA Submission portal but wraps two national requirements around them: the dossier content must be in Hungarian, and each notification carries a national fee: HUF 21,000 per new notification since 30 January 2025 (HUF 15,600 for a new notification after a significant composition change; updates are free), anchored in Decree 1/2009 EüM.
The fee workflow is unusual and easy to get wrong: you submit first, then transfer the fee to the appointed body — the National Center for Public Health and Pharmacy (NNGYK, the successor of NNK) — referencing the ECHA submission number, and send proof of payment to the NNGYK notification mailbox. Notifications without the fee are not considered complete.
What to watch for in Hungary
- Fee: HUF 21,000 per new notification since 30 January 2025, HUF 15,600 for a new notification after a significant composition change, updates free; transferred to NNGYK after submission with the submission number as reference. Checked on 15 October 2026.
- Hungarian language required.
- MSD v14 marks Hungarian fees with 'more information' — confirm the current amount with NNGYK before submitting.
The submission itself is the same in every member state that accepts the ECHA route: a PCN dossier in ECHA’s current format, carrying the mixture’s UFI, full composition, and product category.
