The public site offers guides, a UFI generator, checker and decoder, and a waitlist for early access. Joining the waitlist does not guarantee an invitation or a date of access. Sending poison centre notifications through UFI Number is not available on the public site.

The tools apply ECHA's published UFI algorithm in your browser. A generated or structurally valid UFI is not evidence that the mixture has been notified, that its classification is correct or that its label meets every requirement. A UFI has no legal effect until the mixture is notified. Check the result against the official requirements for your mixture and markets before relying on it.

You remain responsible for the data you enter, your mixture classification, your labels and any notification duty. UFI Number does not write safety data sheets, classify mixtures, give legal advice or guarantee acceptance.

You may use the public tools for lawful work. Please do not interfere with the site's operation, try to bypass its security controls or submit another person's contact details to the waitlist without authority.

The site's writing, design and software are protected by the rights that apply to them. You may link to public pages and quote short passages with attribution. External links lead to sites we do not operate; check their own terms and notices when you follow them.

We work to keep the public site useful and available, but a tool or guide may be interrupted or need correction. Tell us if you find an error. Nothing in these terms removes a right or remedy that the law does not allow us to exclude.

We may update these terms as the public site changes. The date at the top shows the current version. Contact us using the details in the legal notice if you have a question. The privacy notice explains how the waitlist and public site handle personal data.
